Shifty Eye Fugitive
Panic got you! You flinched downward to your shoes. Must maintain ≥ 85% stability in the Cyan Zone to win.
Why We Made This Game
The moment you step into an elevator with a stranger, your first urge is to look away. You check floor numbers, stare at your shoes, or pull out a dead phone screen. Looking directly into a stranger’s eyes for more than 3 seconds makes the brain feel uneasy. This game tests your ability to hold your ground and fight that awkward panic urge.
How to Play
Your Goal: Keep your eye crosshair inside the Cyan Zone for 10 seconds. Do not look away when the bell rings!
- Hold to Look Up: Press and hold the SPACEBAR (on PC) or touch & hold the screen (on mobile) to raise your eyes.
- Balance the Target: Let go slightly if your eyes go too high. Press again if you start looking at the floor. Keep it inside the cyan box.
- Watch the 7-Second Trap: At second 7, the floor bell will ring and the stranger will turn to smile. Do not let go! Hold your nerve until the timer reaches zero.
Exact Benchmark Criteria

Frequently Asked Questions
Why is making eye contact in an elevator so awkward?
Because you are trapped in a small space with nowhere else to look. In open rooms, your eyes naturally wander. In an elevator, looking straight ahead locks eyes with someone else.
How does this game score my reaction?
The game tracks how many milliseconds you keep your crosshair inside the cyan box. It also monitors if you panic and let go during the elevator ding.
Does failing this test mean I have social anxiety?
Not at all. Looking away is a natural human reaction to avoid confrontation. Staying calm and relaxed under social pressure takes practice.
